Our Mission
At Mental Fitness Australia (MFA), we’re on a mission to shift the conversation about mental wellbeing - from reactive and deficit focused to positive, practical and proactive. We empower everyday people and organisations with the knowledge, skills and certified recognition they need to build resilience, communicate effectively and create psychologically safe environments.
We believe mental fitness skills are for everyone, not just those in crisis - and that everyday support and early recognition can make all the difference.

Our Values
WE ARE THE ONLY GOVERNMENT APPROVED CERTIFICATION PROGRAM
To Build Your Confidence to Help Yourself and Others

Why It Matters
Mental fitness isn’t just about “feeling better” - it empowers people, communities and workplaces to:
Recognise early indicators of strain or difficulty
Communicate confidently and without stigma
Maintain healthy boundaries and referrals
Build resilience for ongoing challenges
Create psychologically safe environments where people can thrive
This aligns with current national approaches to mental wellbeing and workplace support that emphasise prevention, capability and psychological safety.

Our Approach
We focus on non-clinical, evidence informed education that is both meaningful and practical. Whether through free learning, formal certification, or tailored workplace training, our programs are designed to strengthen everyday mental fitness - not diagnose or treat mental Ill-health conditions.
Our certification standards, including the Certified Mental Fitness First Responder (MFFR) credential, are trademark governed and assessed against clear competency frameworks to ensure quality and credibility.
The ACCC has reviewed and assessed MFA Certification Trade Mark rules in accordance with the Trade Marks Act 1995.
