ABOUT MITCH
Mitch Green is a Certified Mental Fitness First Responder, company director, trainer and work health and safety professional based in Tamworth. With more than 20 years of experience in leadership, staff development and workplace operations, he brings a practical perspective to mental fitness, drawing on a career working alongside people in construction, engineering, government services and small business.
As Director of LessPlex, Mitch’s work spans workplace safety, project management and vocational training. His experience includes helping businesses manage high-risk work, developing training programs, supporting injured workers through return-to-work processes and guiding teams through change. These roles have given him an understanding of the pressures facing workers, supervisors and business owners, particularly where demanding workloads, safety responsibilities and competing priorities are part of everyday life.
Certified through Mental Fitness Australia, Mitch has demonstrated the skills to recognise early signs of psychological distress, respond safely and appropriately, and guide people towards relevant support. His certification also covers practical mental fitness strategies that support psychological safety, resilience and wellbeing in workplaces and communities.
Mitch’s training background includes accredited and customised programs in workplace safety, first aid, emergency response and high-risk work. He takes a straightforward, approachable approach to explaining complex topics, connecting learning with situations participants recognise from their own workplaces. His experience delivering toolbox talks, staff training and competency-based programs provides a strong foundation for engaging people with different backgrounds and levels of experience.
Mitch brings this combination of industry experience, leadership and education to mental fitness. His focus is on making learning relevant and accessible, helping people connect practical strategies with the challenges they face at work and in everyday life.
